Allow me to introduce myself
Mark de Krosse is my name… nice to meet you! In 2019, I decided to pursue formal training as a mediator so I could work as a registered MfN mediator. The training, combined with over 25 years of experience as a mediator and entrepreneur in a large family business, provided me with a solid foundation to continue as a mediator.
In addition to the general mediation training, I have also completed specialized training in divorce mediation, family mediation, and labor mediation. The combination of experience and education enables me to tackle various and complex mediations.
Throughout my career, I have dealt with small and large conflicts in various ways. Most of the conflicts were in the business family sphere. Occasionally, I was a party to the conflict, but more often I was “called to the table” to help find a solution. It always feels great when that succeeds, and it made me want to do more. The step to work as an MfN registered mediator was ultimately not that big.

How does it work?
1.
Mediation as a tool for solutions
Mark is happy to visit you at home for an introductory meeting. This meeting is to determine whether there is a good connection with Mark and whether a basis of trust can be established. Since sensitive issues will be discussed during the conversations, establishing trust is essential.
Additionally, mediator Diemen will map out your unique situation. Are there children involved? Is there a business, a mortgage, or other special circumstances?
2.
The process
An average mediation process usually consists of three to five conversations, each lasting about two hours. Various issues will be addressed during these discussions. What debts or assets are there, and how will they be divided? If children are present, the creation of a parenting plan will be prioritized, thoroughly discussing arrangements regarding their residence, vacation plans, and alimony arrangements.
Mediator Diemen creates a safe environment where everything can be said and where emotions are given enough space. The ultimate goal is to achieve fair and sustainable solutions. To reach that goal, no topic can remain unaddressed.
3.
The legal documents
After concluding the substantive discussions, Mark will take the next step by drafting the settlement agreement. All newly made agreements, including the parenting plan, will be carefully documented.
Once all parties have given their consent, the documents will be handed over to the lawyer. This specialist will check the legal correctness of the prepared documents before they are submitted to the court.
4.
Aftercare
Once the final signatures are collected, the mediation process can be considered successfully completed. However, this truly marks the beginning of a “new era” in which new situations may arise. A new residence and a new daily routine can be quite a lot. Perhaps you have mutual friends? This might raise additional questions. In that case, mediator Diemen is available for the necessary aftercare.

Parenting plan
An important aspect of a divorce involving children is the creation of a parenting plan. This plan outlines the agreements that (ex-)partners make regarding a structured arrangement for the care and upbringing of their children.
The plan includes various agreements, such as the children’s place of residence, vacation arrangements, and the division of parental responsibilities. It also regulates how decisions regarding health, education, and other important aspects of the child’s life will be made, including specific schedules for parental involvement, such as weekend arrangements and holidays.
The parenting plan serves as a framework that supports parents in creating a stable environment for their children. In the future, the parenting plan may change as the situation of the child or the parents evolves. The parenting plan also serves as a legal reference in case of disputes over the agreements made.
Don’t leave anything to chance and contact Mark, the mediator Diemen.
Why divorce with a mediator?
A divorce is a significant matter. You are dealing with many issues simultaneously and need to establish new agreements. Engaging mediator Diemen can be particularly valuable in this process. This brings structure and ensures careful management of all matters. Here are the benefits:
✓ The costs of a mediator are lower than those of a lawyer.
✓ A mediation process typically involves only three to five conversations lasting two hours, allowing for a quick resolution. A (contested) divorce through lawyers can take months in comparison.
✓ Mediation often contributes to improving the relationship between the parties involved, in contrast to a court case.
✓ The costs of mediation are shared by both parties (usually each pays half).
If you aim for fair and sustainable solutions and want to ensure that nothing is overlooked, engaging a mediator is a wise choice.
