Let me introduce myself
I am Mark de Krosse, nice to meet you! In 2019, I completed a formal mediation training program, after which I began working as an MfN registered mediator. My background as a mediator and entrepreneur/CEO in a large family business, with over 25 years of experience, gives me a solid foundation for mediation.
In addition to my basic training, I have also specialized in divorce, family, and labor mediation. These qualifications, combined with my experience, enable me to handle various complex mediations.
Throughout my career, I have dealt with many types of conflicts, primarily within business families. Sometimes I was directly involved, but most of the time I was called in to help find a solution. The fulfilling feeling that comes from successfully resolving issues led me to become an MfN registered mediator.

How does it work?
1.
Mediation as a tool for solutions
The mediation process begins with an introduction at your home. The introduction can also take place at a neutral location, such as in his office. This first conversation marks the start of the process, where building trust is central. Trust is crucial, especially since emotional topics arise during discussions. Open and honest communication is only possible with a foundation of trust. You need to feel comfortable.
The mediator in IJmuiden will map out your unique situation. Are there children involved? Are there issues such as a business, a purchased home, or how to handle the pension? Mark is ready to fully guide and support you during this emotionally challenging and complex period.
2.
The process
During step two of the process, the substantive discussions will take place. The mediator in IJmuiden will work with you to systematically address all topics. Impactful agreements need to be made. If there are children involved, arrangements must be made regarding them as well. A parenting plan cannot be overlooked.
The mediator in IJmuiden creates an open and natural atmosphere where you have the space to discuss all issues constructively. The goal is to collaboratively reach sustainable and fair solutions, respecting the interests of all parties involved.
3.
The legal documents
After completing the discussions, Mark takes the next step by drafting the covenant. The legal work then begins. All agreements reached are documented clearly and carefully. Then it’s time to sign the documents.
Once all parties involved have given their approval, the documents will be forwarded to the lawyer. This specialist checks the legal correctness of the drafted documents before they are submitted to the court.
4.
Aftercare
After finalizing the divorce process, the mediator in IJmuiden remains involved not only in the formal handling but also offers aftercare. Changes in living situations, shared friends—many new situations will likely arise. He is ready to answer your questions.

The house
The home is often a sensitive issue during divorce proceedings, and soon a move may be on the agenda for one of you or perhaps both. This raises questions about what home means and how finances should be managed.
For the children, it’s essential that their situation changes as little as possible; it’s ideal if they can remain close to their school and friends.
One option is to leave the home temporarily undivided, with one of you continuing to live there while fairly dividing the costs. If you decide to sell the home, it’s necessary to establish a minimum selling price and designate a real estate agent to assist with the sale.
The mediator in IJmuiden can inform you about the various options, and a financial advisor can check the feasibility of the new living plan. All agreements are ultimately carefully documented in a divorce covenant so that everything is clear and no details are overlooked.
Why divorce with a mediator?
Divorcing without a helping hand can be quite a challenge; you already have so much on your mind, and so much is likely to change. It’s helpful to engage the mediator in IJmuiden. This way, you can be sure that everything is well arranged. Here are the main benefits summarized:
✓ A mediator is often cheaper than a lawyer.
✓ A mediation process usually involves only three to five sessions of two hours, so it can be completed quickly. A trip to court can take months.
✓ Mediation often results in a better relationship between the parties, while a lawsuit typically does not.
✓ The costs of mediation are shared by both parties (usually each pays half).
If you want to pursue fair and sustainable solutions and find it important that nothing is overlooked, then engage a mediator.
