Allow me to introduce myself:
Mark de Krosse is the name… nice to meet you! In 2019, I decided to undertake formal training as a mediator so that I could work as a registered mediator with the MfN. The training, combined with over 25 years of experience as a mediator and entrepreneur/CEO in a larger family business, provided me with the foundation to move forward as a mediator.
In addition to the general mediation training, I have also completed specialized courses in divorce mediation, family mediation, and labor mediation. This combination of experience and education enables me to tackle various and complex mediations.
Throughout my career, I have dealt with a range of small and very large conflicts. Most conflicts were within the business family context. Sometimes I was a party to the conflict, but most of the time, I was “called to the table” to help find a solution. It always feels great when that works out, and it sparked my interest to do more. Ultimately, the step to work as a registered mediator with the MfN was not a big one.
Required agreements for child care
When divorcing with children, a parenting plan is mandatory. This plan includes agreements regarding the care and upbringing of the children, such as visitation schedules, holidays, and daily parenting decisions. Mediator Amstelveen Mark supports parents in jointly creating a practical and realistic parenting plan, prioritizing the children’s well-being.
With his experience, Mark helps parents discuss sensitive topics like finances and parenting in a structured manner. A well-thought-out parenting plan provides clarity and stability for the children, allowing them to feel secure and know what to expect.

Benefits of mediation in divorce
Using a mediator offers many advantages compared to a legal procedure. Mediator Amstelveen Mark ensures the process is faster, friendlier, and more efficient. The main benefits of mediation are:
- Speed – Mediation is often faster than a court procedure, providing clarity sooner.
- Lower costs – Mediation costs are generally lower than those of a lawyer or court case.
- Less stress – The personal guidance and informal setting make the process less emotionally taxing.
- Influence over agreements – You have input in the agreements, ensuring a fair and workable arrangement.
- Respectful approach – Essential when children are involved, enabling them to grow up in a stable environment.
Mediation is especially valuable for couples with children, as agreements regarding their care and upbringing require a thoughtful and respectful approach. Mark assists parents in making agreements that prioritize the children, giving them a secure foundation now and in the future.
Legal documentation: the divorce settlement
Once all divorce agreements are finalized, they can be recorded in a divorce settlement. This legal document details all arrangements, such as property division, child support, and the parenting plan. Mediator Amstelveen Mark assists you in carefully drafting the divorce settlement and can advise on legal matters.
A divorce settlement provides certainty by officially documenting all agreements. This prevents future misunderstandings and establishes a clear foundation for the years ahead. If any adjustments are needed in the future, Mark can also help discuss and document revised agreements.
