Let me introduce myself.

Mark de Krosse is the name… pleased to meet you! In 2019, I decided to pursue formal training as a mediator so that I could work as an MfN-registered mediator. The training, combined with over 25 years of experience as a mediator and entrepreneur/CEO in a large family business, provided me with the foundation to continue my path as a mediator.

In addition to the general mediation training, I also completed specialized programs in divorce mediation, family mediation, and workplace mediation. The combination of experience and training enables me to take on a variety of complex mediations.

Throughout my career, I have encountered small and large conflicts in many different ways. Most of these conflicts were in the context of family businesses. On rare occasions, I was a party to the conflict, but more often, I was “called to the table” to help find a solution. It always feels very rewarding when that happens, which left me wanting more. In the end, the step to becoming an MfN-registered mediator wasn’t all that big.

How does it work?

1.

Mediation as a means to solutions

The mediation process begins with a personal meeting. Mark is happy to visit you at your home in Abcoude, or if preferred, an appointment can be made at a neutral location, such as Mark’s office. During this initial meeting, you will see if there is a connection with the mediator in Abcoude. This connection is very important as it forms the foundation for trust. Sensitive topics are often discussed during these conversations, and trust is essential to talk about them openly.

2.

On conversation

For the substantive discussions, two to three meetings are usually required, each lasting between one and a half to two hours. In these conversations, various topics are addressed, such as issues related to debts and assets, pensions, or the purchase of a home, for example.

If children are involved, a parenting plan cannot be overlooked. Where will the children live, and when will they go on vacation with each parent? And how is child support arranged? The mediator in Abcoude ensures that all topics are covered.

3.

The legal documents

After completing the substantive discussions, the mediator in Abcoude takes the next step by drafting the agreement. All newly made arrangements, including the parenting plan, are carefully documented.

Once all parties involved have given their approval, the documents are handed over to the lawyer. This specialist reviews the legal correctness of the drafted documents before submitting them to the court.

The aftercare

After signing the final documents, the process is complete. Following the conclusion of the divorce process, the mediator in Abcoude provides the necessary aftercare. A completely new situation arises after the divorce, and new questions are likely to come up. Mark will assist you where needed.

Prevent a legal fight.

Unfortunately, contentious divorces are a common occurrence, often resulting in lengthy and costly legal proceedings with uncertain outcomes. They carry significant risks and rarely improve the relationship between (ex)-partners. These disputes often end in a compromise that leaves both parties dissatisfied.

Preventing such conflicts is crucial. This is where mediator Abcoude can likely assist you. Mediation is a constructive form of communication, a tool to reach workable solutions.

By coming to an agreement together, the emotional burden can be reduced. It’s not just about the legal aspects, but also about aiming for a healthy emotional resolution, which makes the transition to a new phase of life much smoother.

Want to avoid a divorce battle? Mark is ready to guide you in finding constructive and fair solutions. Don’t wait any longer!

Why divorce with help of a mediator?

Divorcing without a helping hand can be quite a challenge; you already have so much on your mind, and at the same time, a lot is likely to change. That’s why it can be useful to involve a mediator. This way, you can be sure that everything is properly taken care of. Here are the key benefits listed:

✓ A mediator is often cheaper than a lawyer.

✓ A mediation process usually takes only three to five sessions of two hours each, so it can be completed quickly. A court case can easily take months.

✓ Mediation often leads to a better relationship between the parties, whereas a court case usually does not.

✓ The costs of mediation are shared by both parties (usually half each). Read more about the costs here.

Do you want to aim for fair and lasting solutions and ensure that nothing is overlooked? Then consider working with Mark, mediator in Abcoude.
